I'm here today to talk about my first lolita purchase.


Quando comecei a procurar sobre lolita de cara quis usar sweet, mas tinha muito receio da minha aparência dentro de um vestido rosa cheio de firulas. Quando eu vi o Sugary Carnival preto meu coração parou: precisava usar aquilo, era perfeito e preto. E aí quando fui procurar que descobri a dificuldade... 


When I started researching lolita I right away wanted to wear sweet, but I was very self-conscious about my appearance into a pink frilly dress. When I saw Sugary Carnival in the black colorway my heart stopped: I needed that, it was perfect and black. Then when I went to look for it that I discovered the dificulty...

Na época eu estava mais cheinha, mais de 80cm de cintura. Eu queria uma saia, porque achava (e ainda acho) que elas rendem mais outfits. O limite da saia é 73cm, ugh. Foi frustração instantânea.

Mesmo eu sendo novata no lance todo de lolita eu tinha experiência com BJDs e conhecia toda a polêmica das réplicas. Não vou falar disso agora, vai ser assunto pra outro post. Só vou resumir com: eu decidi não comprar uma réplica.


Back then I was a bit chubbier, had a more than 31" waist. I wanted a skirt, because I tought (and still think) that it would yield more coords. The skirt's top measurement isn't even 29", ugh. Instant frustration.

Even if I were a noob into the lolita scene I had experience with BJDs and I knew the controversy surrounding replicas. I ain't gonna talk about this now, it's going to be a subject for another post. I'll just say that I've decided not to get a replica.


Beleza, daí pra frente foi procurar outras coisas. Resolvi que ia focar em comprar peças escuras, no estilo do Sugary Carnival preto (""bittersweet""), e foi quando fucei, fucei e fucei e finalmente pedi a minha primeira saia da Bodyline.


Cool, so from then I started to look for other things. I decided that I would focus on getting dark pieces, in the style of the Sugary Carnival in the black colorway (""bittersweet""), and then I searched, searched and searched and finally ordered my first skirt from Bodyline.

Comprei em rosa. Demorou horrores pra chegar. Não peguei taxa. Amei a saia de paixão! <3
Mas aí não tinha como usar, já que não tinha blouse. Tentei tanto encontrar algo que fosse funcionar como cutsew ou qualquer coisa do tipo... Mas sem sucesso.


I've got it in pink. It took ages to arrived. I did not have to pay importation fees. I've loved the skirt to pieces! <3
But then I didn't have anything to wear it with, since I did not had blouse. I've tried so hard to look for something that could work as a cutsew or stuff like that... But with no success.

Aí o rumo do meu guarda-roupas mudou.
Acabei vendendo a saia sem nunca tê-la usado.

Alguém tem uma história legal sobre a sua primeira peça? Eu adoraria ouvir! :)

And then the direction of my wardrobe shifted.
I ended up selling the skirt without ever having worn it.
